School Development Manager (based in Medan, Indonesia)

The Foundation currently runs a number of philanthropic programs in Indonesia ranging from scholarships, teachers training, school improvement programs, research support to small business development. Tanoto Foundation currently seeks:

School Development Manager
(Medan)

The incumbent will be a member of a team to establish a private school inMedan. Responsibilities include:
    * Conduct feasibility studies, develop the school concept, the business plan and the fundraising strategy
    * Align with the school vision and mission, strategize and develop management system, curriculum and teaching methodology
    * Oversee the school’s planning and construction
    * Liaise with government agencies and education ministries
    * Lead the recruitment of principal, teaching and non teaching staff

Requirements:
    * University degree with relevant professional experience, Masters Degree preferred
    * Minimum 15 years’ experience, with at least 2 years’ experience in managing / leading private school in addition to at least 3 years of project management work exposure
    * Good analytical skills and demonstrated results conducting independent research in developing proposals, management and establishing partnerships
    * Proactive, resilient, self-driven, responsible and willing to learn
    * Excellent communication skills in written and spoken Bahasa Indonesia, Mandarin and English. Ability to speak Hokkien dialect is an added advantage
